I'm not sure why the anti-Semites seem to be living on the left, but it is pretty ironic since so many with the Jewish belief have traditionally voted for the Dems. The last R to get more votes than a D was Harding back in 1920
Jewish Vote History - I'm not sure how accurate it is, but I bet it's close.
Of course the Catholic vote used to be strongly in the Dems favor, but now the non-practicing Catholic is the only vote they control now. The practicing Catholics have rightfully moved to the party that better represents their moral values.
I grew up in the strongly Pro-Union, Pro-Catholic, Pro-Democratic PA family. From what I know 5 of the 7 siblings, along with spouses, vote Republican—as well as my mom, who has switched her vote on most recent elections as well.
Could there be a change in the Practicing Jewish vote as well?
If Webb wants to isolate more and more voters away from the polls, let him and his cronies keep it up. Let's be fair about this, he can only talk about Iraq and that's it.
I LOVE this clip. Allen handles this question like a pro. I am amazed everytime I see this. He reacts perfectly to a pointless question.
My only question is, if this had happened the other way, if Webb had feilded a question so expertly, wouldn't the full clip be playing on the evening news? Instead, we get small parts, parsed with questions about what did he know and when did he know it.
I saw it live, and a couple of times since. Each time, I am struck by how angry he seems. Honesty seems to be a sore point with him, perhaps because his entire "good old boy, cowboy" persona is an elaborate fiction.
At least this time his handlers had the good sense to get him to just tell the truth the next day. But there is a troubling pattern of behavior here. Rather than tell the truth, his instinct seems to be to either attack the questioner, or invent some implausible story.
So you will have to excuse me if I see this as an issue of honesty, and nothing else.

As Allen's mother definitely pointed out, some folks in the 1930's had a different idea of what "honesty" for a Jew meant.
A concentration camp.
Only the Republican Party would stand behind a racist and an anti-semite so viemently.
He's looking at demographics of Catholic and Jewish voters drifting from the Democratic Party.
Whatcha talkin' 'bout, Willis?
