Actually, the better analogy would be that Gilmore was the running back, and Marshall threw the block the opened up the hole for him.

Again, I don’t mean to belittle Gilmore’s record. All I’m saying is, if Marshall doesn’t throw that block . . .

oh, Delegate Marshall was elected Governor that year? It was Delegate Marshall that signed into law the rollback of the Car Tax?

You're confusing one of the lineman with the quarterback.

If it hadn't have been for Gov. Gilmore beating the then Democrat 'Golden Boy' of his time LG Don Beyer.... Nothing would have been accomplished.

I guess what is next is that LG Bill Bolling and AG Bob McDonnell owe it all to Del. Bob Marshall also?
