Fredericksburg City Schools ask for 9.6% increase
In what is called a “bare bones budget,” Fredericksburg Public Schools asked for a $1.2 million increase in funding, monies which will largely be used to increase teachers pay, make health care benefits equitable to those received by city staff, and increasing the stipend of teachers with masters degrees.
Now I’m not entirely opposed to funding our schools, but there are alternatives folks. Which alternatives you ask? Channel One is a good start.
