Flag Day

Today is Flag Day. Display the colors!

When you travel overseas, one thing you notice about America coming back is that everyone – and it seems like everyone – flies the American flag. And why not? The great country that is the United States of America is the best country in the world. Millions of people every year decide to make the move here, and regardless of whether they are American or not, they soon decide to adapt to what Americans do. Celebrate the fourth of July? Check. Celebrate our veterans, past, and present, on veterans day? Check. There are so many other events that our American flags can be flown for, and provided that we all have access to something like this telescoping flagpole, we too can join in with the many celebrations of this great country.

In fact, that reminds me. I need to get a flag of mine. I’ve been meaning to do it for ages and haven’t yet found the time to do so. It will look great on my property, and I don’t want to be left out of this amazing tradition. I am America, after all.

Flying the American flag earns Americans the title of being such a patriotic people, and to those not sympathetic to the United States, it frankly scares the hell out of ’em.

So fly the flag.
