If you’ve been trying to e-mail me…

I’ve been receiving plenty of e-mails… but nothing is going out. Why? Because my Linksys router is not working. Unfortunately this is not the first time I have encountered this problem either.

After finding my Linksys default IP address, I’ve reset it, changed the DCHP settings, talked to Cox, and done just about everything I possibly can. Cox recommended I try configuring some of the settings and changing my password, but I am still in the same situation.

I have even tried making some changes on the Linksys router’s web interface, but nothing I seem to do makes a difference! It is so frustrating when technology lets us down. I do not understand how we used to manage before the Internet!

As amazing as it is to be able to send messages online at the click of a button, when my emails do not work properly I always end up in such a muddle. I rely on my emails for so many different things – from work, to staying in touch with family and friends, I need my emails pretty much every single day.

MS Outlook is working great (for a change), but like the Roach Motel e-mails come in, but they just don’t get out. I am almost out of ideas too.

My options to date are to either (1) find the quick fix, or (2) get a new router. Unless someone has a quick fix to be able to send e-mail out of a BEFW11SF Wireless-B Router, upgrading to a Wireless-G or A is in my immediate future.
